Cookie policy

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They are used to make the website work correctly, remember your choices and give us information about how the site is used.
We also use similar technologies such as localStorage — storage directly in the browser without data being sent to the server on every page load.
2. Which cookies we use
Necessary (cannot be disabled): — Session and login: Supabase Auth uses cookies to keep you logged in to the group dashboard and the admin panel (sb-access-token, sb-refresh-token). — Cart: The cart contents and selected purchase route (Rius, group or seller) are stored together in localStorage so they are not lost or reattributed during navigation (rius_cart_v2). — Cookie consent: Your choice of cookie preferences is saved in localStorage (rius_cookie_consent). — Your recent orders: Order IDs for purchases made in this browser are stored in localStorage for eight days (rius_recent_orders). Their only purpose is to let us stop a purchase from being reported to Meta if you withdraw your advertising consent before the purchase has been reported. No other order details are stored. — CSRF protection: Origin headers and tokens that protect form submissions against attacks.
Optional — you choose these independently: — Website statistics (Google Analytics): aggregated, anonymized statistics on how the site is used. It only loads if you tick "Website statistics". If you do not, no analytics is loaded and nothing is sent to Google. — Advertising (Meta Pixel, Facebook and Instagram): measures visits to our public pages so we can evaluate ads and reach relevant audiences. Sets the _fbp cookie. It only loads if you tick "Advertising". If you do not, nothing is loaded and nothing is sent to Meta. The pixel also never runs at checkout, on logged-in pages, on order confirmations, or in account and newsletter link flows, so the addresses of such pages are never shared with Meta. — Newsletter: when signing up via our form, no tracking is used — only the email address you submit yourself (handled via our email provider Resend).
Third-party cookies we don't control: — Stripe: At payment, Stripe sets cookies on its own domain (stripe.com) for fraud protection and 3D Secure flows. These are technically necessary for payment and are handled by Stripe under their own privacy policy.
3. How to manage cookies
You can change or delete cookies at any time via your browser's settings. Note that if you disable necessary cookies, some functions may stop working — for example, you cannot stay logged in or keep your cart.
How to manage cookies in common browsers: — Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies — Safari: Settings → Privacy — Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security
4. Consent
On your first visit to riuslegacy.com, a cookie banner is shown with three choices:
— "Necessary only": The site works (login, cart, payment) but no optional cookies or tracking scripts are loaded.
— "Customize": You choose website statistics and advertising independently. Both are off until you tick them yourself.
— "Allow all": As above plus both website statistics and advertising. You can change your mind at any time.
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the "Manage cookies" link in the footer — the choice is then shown again.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this cookie policy if we add new services or technologies. The latest version is always available on this page.
For significant changes we inform you via an updated banner on the website.
